October 2026 · Supermarket refrigeration · France

The screen said ALL NORMAL. The freezers were not.

The Thermo-Simple display shows the truth while the refrigeration control shows what is not.

In October 2026, attackers compromised refrigeration controllers in French supermarkets. Cases went into long defrosts. Food spoiled. The screens in the back kept saying the store was fine. The Thermo-Simple unit itself can't be hacked. It doesn't block or stop attacks on your controls. It makes sure a hijacked controller can't hide a warm case from your team.

Setup and adjustment steps are in the user manual, available to customers.

This is not a hypothetical.

What Thermo-Simple is

A standalone color thermometer for every case. The unit itself can't be hacked. It turns raw temperatures into conditions anyone can read at a glance.

  • Green: fresh temps are good.
  • Blue: frozen temps are good.
  • Purple: defrost, limited to 60 minutes.
  • Flashing amber: there's a problem.

It doesn't block attacks on your controls. It shows you what's really happening at the case.

The people at the case saw it first.

"When I first saw the RI products I was really surprised and impressed! Something so simple, so easy to hook up, and with such an obvious visual alarm indicator is a winner when it comes to saving grocers and restaurant managers from product loss,"

"The devices were so clearly displaying a fault condition that store personnel and even customers were reporting the problem. [...] we were able to save the stock from a complete meltdown!"

Ray Fontanilla, owner of A&I Refrigeration in Hawaii

"We have been using the Thermosimple gauges in our Pet Food Express stores for about a year. The gauges make it so simple for our stores to monitor the freezer temperatures while they are focused on serving our customers. [...] These gauges are easy to install, use and read. What another simple and effective solution!"

Carol Horn Davis, Senior Manager of Construction (Pet Foods Express)
